Four fire engine and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a maisonette on Tadworth Parade in Hornchurch.
Part of a maisonette on the first and second floor of a three-storey building was damaged by the fire. A lean-to was also destroyed. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade's 999 Control Officers took nine calls to the blaze.
The Brigade was called at 2033 and the fire was under control by 2120. Fire crews from Hornchurch, Romford, Greenwich and Wennington fire stations were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
