Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a house fire on Leyspring Road in Leytonstone.
Part of the roof of a mid-terraced house was damaged by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1425 and the fire was under control by 1526. Fire crews from Leytonstone, Leyton, Walthamstow and Homerton fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
