Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a waste and metal recycling plant on Penhall Road in Charlton.
A pile of waste metal was alight. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 0606 and the fire was under control by 0724. Fire crews from East Greenwich, Plumstead and Greenwich fire stations were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
