Firefighters rescued a woman from a flat fire on Abbey Road in Barking.
Fire crews wearing breathing apparatus brought the woman out of the third floor flat.
A small part of the kitchen was damaged by the fire.
The Brigade was called at 1946 and the fire was under control by 2021. Firefighters from Barking, East Ham, Plaistow and Stratford fire stations attended the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation by fire officers and police.
