Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a house fire on Beechwood Road in Dalston.
Part of the ground floor of a mid-terraced house under renovation was damaged by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1809 and the fire was under control by 1851. Fire crews from Stoke Newington, Islington, Shoreditch and Homerton fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
