Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a bungalow fire on Lower Road in Belvedere.
A semi-detached bungalow under construction was destroyed by fire and part of an adjoining bungalow was also damaged by the blaze. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 0042 and the fire was under control by 0237. Fire crews from Plumstead, Bexley and Erith fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
