Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a maisonette fire on Woodchurch Close in Sidcup.
An older woman was rescued from the first floor by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus. She was suffering from smoke inhalation and was treated at the scene by London Ambulance Service crews.
The Brigade was called at 2046 and the fire was under control by 2134. Fire crews from Sidcup and surrounding fire stations were at the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
