Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a fire at a hotel on Scarsdale Place in Kensington.
Part of a hotel room on the sixth floor of an 11-storey building was damaged by the fire. Around 500 people were evacuated from the hotel before the Brigade arrived. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1229 and the fire was under control by 1325. Fire crews from Kensington, Chelsea, Fulham, Battersea and Paddington fire stations were at the scene.
The fire is believed to have been accidental.
