Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters tackled a fire at a restaurant on Abbey Road in St John's Wood.
Half of the ground floor of the restaurant was damaged by fire. Several people evacuated from a basement. There were no reports of any injuries from the fire.
The Brigade's 999 Control Officers received seven calls about the fire. Our officers gave vital Fire Survival Guidance to those reported to be inside the building.
The Brigade was called at 2235 and the fire was under control by 2323. Crews from Paddington, West Hampstead, Willesden and surrounding fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and Metropolitan Police.
