Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters tackled a fire at car park on Catesby Street in Walworth.

Two single garages were destroyed by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.

Firefighters used the Brigade's Positive Pressure Ventilation (PPV) fan capability to push smoke along the garage, providing crews with quick access into the property free of smoke.

The Brigade was called at 1350 and the fire was under control by 1554. Fire crews from Lambeth, Old Kent Road, Dockhead and Peckham fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
