Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire on Riverside Gardens in Alperton.
Most of the roof of a semi-detached house was damaged by fire. Two adults and three children left the property before firefighters arrived. There were no reports of any injuries.
One of the Brigade's 32 metre turntable ladders was used to help extinguish the fire.
The Brigade's 999 Control Officers received six calls about the fire.
The Brigade was called at 1023 and the fire was brought under control by 1135. Crews from Wembley, Acton and Ealing fire stations attended the scene.
The fire is believed to have been accidental and caused by an overheated cable.
