Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a fire at a mid-terraced restaurant with flats above on Old Court Place in Kensington.
Half of the basement kitchen and part of the ground floor restaurant were destroyed by the fire.
Five people left the flats above the restaurant before the Brigade arrived. No injuries are reported.
The Brigade was called at 0320 and the incident was under control by 0625. Fire crews from Kensington, Hammersmith, Chelsea, North Kensington and Fulham fire stations were in attendance.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
