Roof fire - Southwark

Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters responded to a fire on New Tannery Way in Southwark. 

Crews tackled a fire affecting the roof on a building of eight floors. Part of the roof's membrane, insulation and parapet was damaged by the fire.    

The Brigade was called at 0923 and the incident was under control by 1101. Crews from Dockhead, Old Kent Road and surrounding fire stations attended the scene. 

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
