Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters tackled a fire at a commercial building on Drury Lane in Covent Garden.
A small part of the basement was damaged by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 0632 and the fire was under control by 0806. Fire crews from Soho, Euston, Dowgate and surrounding fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is believed to have been accidental, due to a fault within an electrical item inside one of the basement treatment rooms.
