Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a house fire on Bloomfield Road in Plumstead.
Half of the first floor of a two-storey terraced house was destroyed by the fire. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
The Brigade was called at 1812 and the fire was under control at 1928. Fire crews from East Greenwich, Eltham and Erith fire stations were in attendance.
