Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a house fire on Belgrave Avenue in Romford.
Half of the ground floor of a two-storey mid terraced house was damaged by the fire. No injuries were reported.
The Brigade was called at 0522 and the fire was under control at 0625. Fire crews from Harold Hill, Romford, Hornchurch and Dagenham fire stations were in attendance.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
