Three fire engines and 15 firefighters were called to a house fire on Ellesmere Avenue, Beckenham.
A small part of the kitchen on the ground floor of a three-storey town house converted into flats was destroyed by fire.
Two people left the property before the Brigade arrive. One woman was rescued by fire crews using a short extension ladder, from a flat roof, suffering from smoke inhalation.
The Brigade was called at 2010 and the fire was under control at 2045. Fire crews from Beckenham, Bromley and Woodside fire stations were in attendance.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
