Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a flat fire on Pan Peninsula Square on the Isle of Dogs.
Part of a studio flat on the 31st floor of a commercial and residential building was damaged by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1339 and the fire was under control by 1433. Fire crews from Millwall, Plaistow, Whitechapel and Bethnal Green fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
