Flat fire - Kentish Town

Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a fire at a house converted into flats on Lupton Street in Kentish Town.

Most of the first floor and second floor were destroyed by fire and an an entire conservatory on the ground floor. One woman left the property before the Brigade arrived suffering from smoke inhalation and is being treated on scene by London Ambulance Service. A further two women also left the property before the Brigade arrived.

The Brigade was called at 0709 and the fire was under control by 0840. Fire crews from Kentish Town, Holloway, Euston, Islington, Hornsey fire stations were at the scene.

The cause of the fire is believed to have been accidental but the exact cause has been recorded as undetermined.
