Four fire engines and 25 fire fighters were called to a three storey block of flats on Finchley Road.
Part of a four roomed flat on the ground floor was damaged by the fire.
The Brigade was called at 0453 and the fire was under control at 0510. Fire crews from West Hampstead and Paddington fire stations were in attendance.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
