Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a block of flats with shops below on High Street, Southall.
There was a fire on a fourth-floor balcony. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1320 and the fire was under control by 1409. Fire crews from Southall, North Kensington, Heston and Heathrow fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
