Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire on Staines Road in Hounslow.
A single-storey derelict building was destroyed by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
Ten cylinders involved were cooled to an ambient temperature as some cylinders can explode when exposed to heat.
The Brigade's 999 Control Officers received 10 calls about the incident.
The Brigade was called at 2255 and the fire was brought under control by 0137. Crews from Feltham, Heston and Twickenham fire stations attended the scene.
