Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire on The Quadrant in Richmond.
Part of the loft space at a fast-food restaurant was damaged by fire. The building was evacuated before firefighters arrived and there were no reports of any injuries.
Road closures were in place while the incident was ongoing.
The Brigade was called at 1345 and the fire was brought under control by 1540. Crews from Kingston, Chiswick, Twickenham and Heston fire stations attended the scene.
The fire is being treated as accidental and most likely caused by hot works taking place in the area affected in the days prior to the incident.
