The majority of a plant room on the roof of the hotel was destroyed by fire. Twenty people evacuated the building before the Brigade arrived, and there are no reports of any injuries.
One of the Brigade's 32m ladders was used as an observation platform. This gives the Incident Commander a view of the fire, as crews tackle it.
Control Officers were notified about the incident at 1406, and the fire was under control by 1532. Crews from Hammersmith, Paddington, Chelsea and Enfield fire stations attended the scene.
The fire is believed to have been accidental, caused by hot works taking place.
