Two fire engines and around ten firefighters were called to a house fire on Beaconsfield Road in Enfield.
Firefighters tackled a fire at a two storey semi-detached house, where part of the ground floor was damaged by the fire. A woman was rescued from the property by a member of the public before the Brigade arrived. The woman suffered smoke inhalation and was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.
The Brigade was called at 1654 and the fire was under control by 1807. Fire crews from Enfield fire station attended the scene.
The cause of the fire will be investigated.
