Six fire engines and around 60 firefighters responded to a fire in a restaurant on North End Road in Golders Green.
The fire took place in a mid-terraced restaurant with flats above. A flat roof extension to the rear of the building was destroyed by fire. There are no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade took five calls reporting the fire, with the first being received at 1551. Crews had the fire under control by 1754. Crews from West Hampstead and surrounding fire stations attended the scene.
The fire is believed to have been accidental, caused by hot works taking place.
