Firefighters were called to a ceiling collapse at a building on East Ferry Road on the Isle of Dogs.
A third-floor roof at residential block of flats collapsed into a second-floor nursery. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 2044 and the incident was over for firefighters by 2138. One fire engine from East Ham Fire Station attended the scene.
