Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a residential block of flats under refurbishment on Elvaston Place in South Kensington.
Most of a temporary wooden site office on the first floor of the building was damaged by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
One of the Brigade's 32-metre turntable ladders was used at the scene as an observation platform.
The Brigade was called at 0942 and the fire was under control by 1028. Fire crews from Kensington, Fulham, Soho and Lambeth fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
