Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a house fire on Ainsley Avenue in Romford.
Firefighters tackled a fire at a two storey detached house with a loft conversion. The blaze destroyed all of the loft conversion and a significant part of the roof.
The Brigade was called at 0551 and the fire was under control by 0743. Fire crews from Romford, Dagenham and Hornchurch fire stations attended the fire.
The fire is believed to have been accidental.
