Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters responded to a fire on Elizabeth Street, Westminster.
Control Officers took 12 calls reporting the fire in the basement of a mid-terraced building consisting of four floors. The basement and ground floor of the building were partially damaged by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The first 999 call came in at 1619, and the fire was under control by 1818. Crews from Chelsea, Lambeth, Soho and surrounding fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
