Firefighters tackled a house fire on Disraeli Close in Thamesmead.
Part of the roof felt of a two-storey terraced house was damaged by fire. Four men were rescued by fire crews wearing breathing apparatus using a 13.5 metre ladder and were assessed on scene by London Ambulance crews.
The Brigade was called at 1212 and the fire was under control at 1241. Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters from Plumstead and East Greenwich fire stations were in attendance.
The fire is believed to have been accidental.
