Firefighters were called to a fire involving an electrical manhole cover on Lancaster Terrace near Lancaster Gate Underground Station.
A 25-metre cordon was put in place as a precaution whilst firefighters worked to bring the fire under control. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1402 and the fire was under control by 1520. Fire crews from Paddington and Kensington fire stations attended the scene.
