Two fire engines and around ten firefighters tackled a house fire on Dunkeld Road in Dagenham.
A small part of a first floor flat in a two-storey terraced house was damaged by the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1423 and the fire was under control by 1503. Fire crews from Ilford and Dagenham attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Metropolitan Police Service.
