Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a roof terrace fire on Hanley Road in Islington.
Most of the roof terrace on top of a three-storey, mid-terraced house converted into flats was damaged by the fire. There were no injuries reported.
The Brigade was called at 0120 and the fire was under control at 0149. Fire crews from Holloway, Kentish Town, and Hornsey fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
