Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters responded to reports of a fire at a mid-terraced house converted into flats on King George Street in Greenwich.
Part of a ground floor flat was damaged by the fire. One man left the building before the arrival of the Brigade and was treated on scene by London Ambulance Service crews. There were no reports of any injuries.
Firefighters from Greenwich, Lewisham, Deptford, East Greenwich and surrounding fire stations attended the scene. The Brigade was called at 0720 and the fire was under control by 0808.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
