Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters responded to reports of a burst water main on Yarnton Way in Erith.
The eastbound carriageway was closed while firefighters worked with partners to reduce the flooding and protect the surrounding area. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1115 and the incident was over for firefighters at 1431. Firefighters from Erith, Plumstead, Eltham and Sidcup fire stations attended the scene.
