Sadly, a woman has died following a flat fire on Askew Road in Shepherd's Bush.
Part of a ground floor flat, inside a converted four-storey house, was damaged by fire. One woman was rescued from the flat by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus. She was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews, where she sadly later died.
The Brigade was called at 2221 and the fire was extinguished by 2344. Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters from Acton, North Kensington, Hammersmith and Chiswick fire stations attended the scene.
