Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a house fire on Brampton Grove in Harrow.
Half of the first floor of a semi-detached house was damaged by fire. Seven people left the building before the Brigade arrived. One man was assessed on scene after suffering from smoke inhalation.
One of the Brigade’s 32-metre turntable ladders was used as a platform to work from height and cut away at the fascia and soffits to access the fire.
The Brigade was called at 1814 and the fire was under control by 1933. Fire crews from Stanmore, Harrow, Northolt and Southall fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
