Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire on Camley Street in King's Cross.
Part of a ground floor studio flat inside a student accommodation block was damaged by fire. Around 100 people left the building before firefighters arrived. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 2134 and the fire was brought under control by 2229. Crews from Euston, Kentish Town, Islington and Holloway fire stations attended the scene.
The fire is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault.
