House fire - Bexleyheath

Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire on Broomfield Road in Bexleyheath.

Half of the ground floor and half of the first floor of a semi-detached house was damaged by fire. One man and one woman were rescued from the property by firefighters. They were taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews suffering from smoke inhalation.

The Brigade was called at 1922 and the fire was brought under control by 2038. Crews from Bexley, Erith, Sidcup and Eltham fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
