Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire on Putney Bridge Road in Putney.
Most of a ground floor shop, with homes above, was damaged by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade's 999 Control Officers received nine calls about the fire.
The Brigade was called at 1923 and the fire was under control by 2100. Crews from Clapham, Kensington, Chelsea and Fulham fire stations attended the scene.
The fire is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault.
