Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a balcony fire in a residential high-rise building on Lena Kennedy Close in Chingford.
Part of the balcony was damaged in the blaze.
The Brigade was called at 1520 and the fire was under control by 1619. Crews from Walthamstow, Woodford and Leyton fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade’s fire investigators and the Metropolitan Police Service.
