Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a range of garages on Berkshire Gardens in Southgate.
Several roof-mounted solar panels and one garage were completely destroyed by fire, and a neighbouring garage was partially damaged by the blaze. Two men evacuated one of the garages before the Brigade arrived.
The Brigade was called at 1200 and the fire was under control by 1404. Fire crews from Hendon, Edmonton, Hornsey and Stoke Newington fire stations were at the scene.
The fire is believed to be accidental and caused by an unknown fault within a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).
