Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire in a garden on Brooklyn Close in Carshalton.
A single-storey shed was destroyed by fire and half of an adjacent lean-to was also damaged by the blaze. Three cylinders were removed and cooled to an ambient temperature as a precaution as some cylinders can explode when exposed to heat. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1452 and the fire was under control by 1731. Fire crews from Mitcham, Wallington and Sutton fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
