Sadly, a woman has died following a flat fire on Ongar Road in Fulham.
Most of a flat across the first and second floors of a converted end-of-terrace house was damaged by fire. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued a woman from the second floor. Sadly, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Brigade was called at 0407 and the fire was under control by 0447. Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters from Fulham, Kensington, Hammersmith, Wandsworth, Tooting and Chelsea fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
