Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a grass fire on Forest Drive in Newham.
One hectare of scrubland and grass was destroyed by fire. There were no injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1811 and the fire was under control by 1853. Crews from East Ham, Stratford, Leytonstone and Ilford fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
