Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a rubbish fire in a block of flats on Lollard Street in Lambeth.
A small amount of rubbish in a lower ground storage room of the 20-storey building was alight. There are no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1152 and the fire was under control by 1318. Crews from West Norwood, Soho and Brixton fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
