Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire in a bin store on Hornsey Road in Islington.
One bin store was destroyed by fire. Seven people left a nearby block of flats before the arrival of the Brigade. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1640 and the fire was under control by 1701. Crews from Holloway, Hornsey and Islington fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
