Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a mixed residential block and extra care facility on Mackintosh Street in Bromley.
A five-roomed flat on the second floor of the four-storey building was partially damaged by fire. One adult man was led to safety via an internal staircase before being taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service.
The Brigade's 999 Control Officers took around five calls to this incident, with the first call received at 1954. Control Officers mobilised crews from Bromley, Beckenham and Orpington fire stations to the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
