Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a flat above a shop on Sidcup Road Parade in Eltham.
The whole of the flat on the first floor of the building was destroyed by fire. One man left the building before the Brigade arrived and was treated for smoke inhalation. One woman and a boy from a neighbouring flat were taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service.
The Brigade's 999 Control officers received their first call alerting them to the fire at 1329. Fire crews from Sidcup, Eltham and Lewisham fire stations were in attendance. The fire was under control by 1616.
The cause of the fire is accidental and is undetermined.
